Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Orlando Pirates confirmed on Thursday that midfielder Ben Motshwari has tested positive for Covid-19.

The player had flu symptoms last week and after undergoing tests, the results came back positive.
The club says that the player will remain at home for the next two weeks.
“The player is asymptomatic and is currently in-home isolation for the next 14-days and he will need to test negative before he is cleared.
“The club has also advised that the player must notify the doctors of all people that he has been in contact with to ensure that they also get tested,” the club said in a statement.
The Soweto-based club added: “The health and wellbeing of our players, officials, and wider community remains our highest priority in this difficult time.”
Motshwari is the first known case of an Absa Premiership player testing positive for Covid-19.
South African football organisations are expected to meet on Thursday to discuss the future of the 2019/2020 league season amid the coronavirus pandemic.
