Re-visit of quotas in rugby
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso
Following immense pressure from the Sports Ministry the South African Rugby Union will discuss the reintroduction of the quota system into local rugby next month.

SARU president Oregan Hoskins has said the sport needs to make "radical, drastic, immediate changes".
The union will try to comply with the demands made by Minister Fikile Mbalula who has said that if there is no 60 - 40 representation of black and white players in future representative teams he will withhold permission for sporting federations to compete internationally.
Hoskins told Supersport.cm that there should not be a quota at national level, because the national team is selected through merit.
However, he will report back on a meeting set to happen next month with the Minister of Sport in the next Exco and President’s forum meeting.
