Defending champions Sundowns held to a one-all draw at the start of the Premiership
The Mamelodi Sundowns began their title defense of the Premiership Soccer League with a 1-1 draw against Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday.
Sekhukhune United shocked Orlando Pirates at their home base with a 1-0 victory, while Siwelele FC enjoyed a winning debut with a 3-1 win over Golden Arrows at their home ground in Bloemfontein.
AmaZulu FC defeated Orbit College 1-0, and Marumo Gallants narrowly beat Richards Bay 2-1.
Finally, Polokwane City and Magesi FC played to a goalless draw.
