Eskom able to perform maintenance without loadshedding
Updated | By sibahle motha

“The risk remains during the evening peak period (5pm to 9pm) when the demand for electricity increases. However, Eskom will inform customers should the possibility of load shedding intensify,” Eskom said.
“Eskom has been able to perform maintenance without load shedding for four consecutive days. This is in line with the company’s position to only resort to rotational load shedding in order to protect the power system and also to create space for critical maintenance.”
The power utility said its aim was to meet the South Africa’s electricity needs and to maintain its power generating units with minimal or no loadshedding. -ANA
