East Rand vet narrowly escapes charging leopard

This vet is so lucky that there was a fence protecting him from the leopard!

Have you ever had a close encounter with a wild animal?
Star of the television show 'Dieredoktor' on VIA, Dr. Pieter Engelbrecht, managed to escape a charging leopard.
The popular South African vet got an unexpected call from a farmer that a wild, fully-grown male leopard had been cornered by dogs between farm buildings outside just Bapsfontein.
“I was called by the farmer as this was a potential disastrous situation unfolding. The darting was a high risk procedure… The fence was old and rusted and I had to go right up to it for a clear shot," says Engelbrecht.
As the vet darted the leopard, it came charging towards him. Luckily, there was a fence between the two, as it could have ended in a completely different way.

Thankfully, the leopard nor the dogs were injured.
