It's not always easy to spot when someone no longer wants you in their life, so knowing which signs to look out for can be helpful.

If you've been getting that weird feeling that someone's slowly stepping out of your life, you're not imagining things.

Global English Editing shared some tell-tale signs that someone might be slowly cancelling you from their inner circle.
Here’s what to watch out for:

1) They’re increasingly distant

If someone is constantly distant and barely making an effort to check in, reply, or meet up, there might be more going on. If it's starting to feel one-sided, it might be time for a heart-to-heart.

2) They’re sharing less about their life

Used to know everything about their life, from coffee orders to career dreams? And now you know nothing? If they've stopped opening up and sharing, it could be a sign they're slowly building a wall.

3) They’re not engaged in your conversations

You're pouring your heart out or sharing a laugh, and they reply with a bland "oh" or "cool". When the emotional connection feels switched off, it might mean they're emotionally checking out, too.

4) They avoid making future plans with you

Remember those spontaneous movie nights or dreamy weekend getaways? If they're suddenly dodging every plan, it could be more than just bad timing.

5) They’re less responsive to your needs

A good friend or partner shows up, whether you're down in the dumps or riding high. But if they stop caring or brush off your wins, it could be a red flag.

6) They stop showing they care

It's the little things that count like that "how's your day?" message, or remembering your big presentation. When that disappears, it can feel like the spark is gone. And maybe, sadly, it is.

7) They’re not there during your big moments

Whether it's your graduation, promotion, or even a rough patch, their absence during your major life events says a lot. If they used to show up and now they don't, it's a sign.

8) They start to exclude you from their circle

Suddenly not invited to get-togethers? Finding out about hangouts after the fact? If they’re leaving you out of their social scene, they might also be edging you out of their life.

9) They tell you directly

If someone tells you directly that they need space or want to step away, the best thing you can do is listen, respect it, and give them what they’re asking for. It could be difficult, but it also brings closure.

Accepting that someone no longer wants you in their life can be difficult, but the best route is to address it, accept it, and move on.
