Tech mogul Elon Musk is back in the headlines, this time for dropping a bold claim linking U.S. President Donald Trump to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Taking to his social platform X, Musk suggested that Trump appears in sealed government files about Epstein's circle.

"Time to drop the really big bomb: (Trump) is in the Epstein files," Musk posted. “That is the real reason they have not been made public."

Musk's claim comes shortly after his departure as a senior White House advisor just last week. He provided no documents or proof to support his statement, but that didn't stop the internet from erupting.

In response, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt dismissed the claim as "an unfortunate episode" and added that Musk is "unhappy with the One Big Beautiful Bill because it does not include the policies he wanted."

Epstein, a wealthy financier with powerful connections, died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. He allegedly abused underage girls and moved in elite social circles, including, at one point, Trump’s.

While Trump has denied ever visiting Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, records show their paths crossed. A PolitiFact investigation found that Trump had flown on Epstein’s plane at least seven times and had attended parties with him in the 1990s.

At the time, Trump said of Epstein: “Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

Trump has claimed he would have “no problem” releasing Epstein-related documents. While his administration has already declassified over 63,000 pages related to the JFK assassination, the full Epstein file remains unreleased.

Now, Musk’s tweet has given opposition Democrats fresh ammunition.

"I called for the full release of the Epstein files a month ago because of my suspicion that (Attorney General Pam Bondi) was concealing the files to protect Donald Trump,” said New York Congressman Dan Goldman on X.

"Now my suspicion has been confirmed."

California Representative Ted Lieu added that Musk’s post validated his own theory: "I urge the Department of Justice to release all the Epstein files. What is the Trump administration hiding?"

Tim Miller, a former Republican strategist and now a vocal Trump critic, didn’t hold back either. "The American people deserve to know if our president is a pedophile," he wrote on X.

So far, none of the released Epstein court records have provided hard evidence tying Trump, or any other public figure, to Epstein's crimes. But with pressure now mounting from both sides of the aisle, more revelations could be on the horizon.
