Miss South Africa pageant postponed

The Miss South Africa pageant has been postponed amid concerns over the pageant's future.

The Miss South Africa Organisation announced that it will postpone its 2025 Miss SA pageant, which was originally scheduled to take place in August. It has now been moved to a later date in the year.
This announcement comes just days after the organisation's CEO, Stephanie Weil, stepped down, raising doubts about the future of the pageant.

In a public press statement, the Miss South Africa Organisation revealed that the pageant will be postponed "to ensure greater alignment with international and other global events."
"The Organisation, through its affiliated companies, aims to broaden the reach and impact of the pageant and its contestants.
"The pillars of the Organisation will be expanded to include entrepreneurship, job creation, cultural awareness, and social cohesion."
