Officer in pyjamas forces car thieves to go topless

A SANDF officer apprehended five car thieves while in his pyjamas, forcing them to go topless and lie on the ground while holding a gun.

Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke to Senior Chief Warrant Officer Mokete Petrus Tladi after he was hailed a hero for apprehending five alleged car thieves.

Videos and pictures that circulated on social media showed the men lying on the ground topless while Tladi reprimanded them.

Tladi took no nonsense from the alleged criminals, scolding them and forcing them to the ground while holding a gun.

While speaking to Martin Bester the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) officer explained that the men met their embarrassing fate after trying to steal a vehicle in his military area.

He explained it was a normal Sunday where he was working on a presentation for work.

"Unfortunately, one of our surveillance team members called me to tell me there was unusual activity," he said.  

Tladi was still in his pyjamas and then dropped everything and told them to close all possible entrances in the area.

They quickly apprehended five of six criminals.

He explained that they weren’t wearing shirts and shoes as a way to make getting away more difficult.

They took off their shoes and shirts to make sure its not easy to, but also people without clothing will be more noticeable for the public.

“They didn’t now they are is an national key point. you can’t come play here,” he said.
