These areas in Pretoria will be without water for 4 days

If you live in Pretoria, you may want to make contingency plans to ensure you have enough water during an upcoming four-day water outage.
Residents have been warned that many areas will be without water as the city undertakes essential maintenance.

The Tshwane Metro stated that Rand Water will proceed with maintenance work at its Mapleton and Palmiet Booster Pumping Stations, which supply water to Tshwane.
This maintenance, scheduled to take place from May 29 to June 2, 2025, is intended to improve the network’s reliability and efficiency.
"This major work will take four and a half days to complete, from Thursday, May 29, until June 2, 2025."
No pumping will take place during this period
"To mitigate the impact of a possible water supply interruption, the city plans to fill the reservoirs, which will be affected, to over 80% a few days before the maintenance begins."

Water supply may still be interrupted during the maintenance, which is why residents are urged to make contingency arrangements.
"Our technicians will also ensure the optimal operation of the city's water sources during the maintenance period. Roaming water tankers will be dispatched as and when the need arises.
According to Pretoria Rekord, the following areas—including suburbs and estates—will be affected by water restrictions or outages:
