UFC world champion Dricus du Plessis has previously been criticised for kissing his dad at MMA fights.

He is also known to have kissed other men in front of the cameras to celebrate his victories.

Although many thought speculation over his sexuality and questions about why he kisses other men had blown over, it doesn't seem to be the case.

In an episode of The HJR Podcast, MMA fighter and actor Rampage Jackson called Du Plessis out for kissing his cornermen.

"I'm not used to seeing men kiss on the lips in the UFC, I'm sorry," he said.

He went on to say that he believes the UFC "can do without that" because of the stigma already surrounding the sport.

Rampage was referring to videos of MMA and Jiu-Jitsu that surface online, showing fighters in positions that might appear sexual to outsiders, such as "rolling on the ground together."

"The new fans that don't understand the sport, they be watching that stuff, and then you know, every now and then, like every three fights, you see a man sitting on another man's face," he said.

To combat the stigma around the sport, Rampage urged DDP to stop kissing men on the lips.

"We're the toughest sport on the planet, and we don't need all that."
