After more than a decade in the South African music scene, Majozi is taking a moment to pause, reflect, and connect on a deeper level with the people who've been there every step of the way - his fans.

His brand-new, intimate tour, aptly titled 'Songs & Stories by Majozi', is more than just a live show. It's a heartfelt journey through the songs that have shaped his career and the stories that brought them to life.

"After being in the industry for over a decade, I've had some time to reflect on my career and remember the moments and inspirations along the way," Majozi shares.

"I thought it would be really cool to share some of them with the people I love. You!"

The concept developed organically, as fans increasingly asked him about the meanings behind his songs during live shows.

The response was overwhelmingly warm and encouraging, prompting him to craft a one-of-a-kind experience, a space where storytelling and songs intertwine in the most personal way.

"It's almost therapeutic for me," he says. "I've always just moved from one thing to the next without really processing how I got here. Now, I get to share what these songs have meant to me… and also hear what they've meant to others."

The three-city tour will be unlike anything he's done before, featuring a carefully curated setlist spanning his career, from fan favourites like 'Darling', 'Waiting', and 'Fire', to deeper cuts like 'The River' and 'The Greatest Love', and new releases like 'Time Traveller' and 'Safe in the Sound'.

But it's not just about the music. Majozi will share the personal stories behind the songs, moments of joy, struggle, growth, and gratitude, while inviting the audience to share theirs too.

"I don't know if I'll ever do shows like this again. So we're going to make it really special. I want people to walk away feeling like they were part of something meaningful."

The tour kicks off in three significant venues:

  • Atterbury Theatre, Gauteng — Majozi’s favourite spot in the province.
  • The Lyric Theatre, Durban — A nostalgic return to his early days in Ballito.
  • The Baxter Theatre, Cape Town — Majozi is excited to perform at such an iconic venue in the city he now calls home.

While these are the only three confirmed dates for now, more cities may be added in a smaller, stripped-down format, so fans across the country should stay tuned.

'Songs & Stories by Majozi' is more than a concert - it's a celebration of connection, a tribute to growth, and an unforgettable night of vulnerability, laughter, nostalgia, and the kind of storytelling only music can truly hold.
