Especially in South Africa, people are constantly trying to deploy new tactics to scare off criminals.
But crime is not only a reality in our nation; it is all over the world.

A Melbourne homeowner has gone viral on social media after he used a strange but clearly effective tactic to ward off criminals.
CCTV footage first shows a man sitting in a car when suddenly another man speeds off for his life, running over the bonnet and roof of the car.
In the distance, animal-like sounds can be heard echoing through the driveway of a home.
This prompts the man sitting in the car to jump out and run at full speed, with both suspects jumping over the gate.
It quickly became clear what was happening: two men were trying to rob the Melbourne man, seemingly wanting to take his black Audi sedan parked in the driveway.
But the man's vicious barking, combined with the words "I will f*cking kill you," was enough to make the suspects disappear in a flash.

Moments after the criminals jumped over the gate, the car continued to roll back and hit the gate, as they were clearly planning to leave with the car.
The man continued his barking and intimidating mannerisms even after the suspects fled, just to ensure they were gone.

Social media was flooded with videos of the incident, which garnered hundreds of thousands of views.
Most people were applauding the man’s unconventional ways of getting rid of criminals.
