President Cyril Ramaphosa warmed the hearts of millions of South Africans after a recent video went viral.

The South African president was recently spotted at a shopping mall, with eager residents waiting to greet him.

In the video, which was shared on social media, Ramaphosa kindly encouraged people to take photos with him, inviting specifically "the young ones and the old ones!"

Much to the delight of proud parents, little ones lined up for their picture with the president.

While smiling for a photo with one young girl, the President noticed her shoelace was untied.

In a heartbeat, President Ramaphosa knelt down and tied the little girl's shoelace for her, prompting "Awwws" from the entire crowd.

According to East Coast Radio, the special moment happened outside the Swarovski store at Canal Walk Shopping Centre.

One bystander remarked, "Imagine growing up knowing the president tied your shoelaces. This was so beautiful to watch."

Social media lit up with praise for the sweet gesture.

"He's such a humble person, our Cupcake," one user shared.

After the special moment, Ramaphosa was on his way again, waving and smiling at the crowd while his bodyguards surrounded him.
