The latest video to shock the country shows an attempted abduction of a woman at a petrol station in Midrand.
TikToker @larybyday shared the video on the platform to demonstrate how quickly a kidnapping can happen and why it’s vital to remain vigilant at all times.
"South Africans, come here, let's count," he begins in the video.
He counts down the seconds as a woman, walking while talking on her phone, is nearly kidnapped.

In just 10 seconds, a man walks up to the woman, grabs her phone, and as she resists, he almost pulls her into a vehicle.
Fortunately, the woman fought back, prompting the criminals to jump back into the car and speed off.

Many viewers noted that the incident appeared to be a typical phone snatching. However, Larry's point was to show how quickly an abduction can escalate from what looks like petty crime.
While the woman's resistance may have saved her life, it also brought her dangerously close to the vehicle, which could have ended in a successful abduction.
