20-year-old makes history by representing SA in rugby and cricket
Riley Norton is not your average sports star!
Children often participate in summer and winter school activities.

They might be swimmers and hockey players, but after-school activities are usually put on hold after graduation.
Riley Norton is the exception to the rule.

Instead of choosing only one sport to continue with after high school, Norton decided to commit to rugby and cricket.
Now he has done something no one has ever done before.
He represented South Africa in the Under-19 cricket squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2024 U19 World Cup.

After his stint with the cricket squad, he decided to focus more on his rugby career, which has clearly paid off.
Now, in 2025, he captained the South African Under-20 rugby team to a massive win at the 2025 World Rugby U20 Championship.

In an interview with SuperSport after the match, he expressed his pride and emotion and praised his coaches and, of course, his fellow Junior Boks.
When he's not tackling opponents or hitting sixes, Norton is balancing a demanding academic programme in his first year of BCom Investment Management.
Norton unfortunately had to miss the 2025 Varsity Cup campaign due to injury, but made quite the comeback by leading the Junior Springboks.

Judging by the support he is already receiving, SA rugby fans are excited to see where Norton's career will go!
