Director James Gunn may have revived the DC Comics cinematic universe with his latest instalment of 'Superman'.

Comic Basics says the new movie has even caused people to flock to streaming services, boosting other DC Comics titles.
To celebrate the new movie's success, James Gunn and DC Studios partnered with Spotify to give you a musical look at the 'Superman' characters.

If you've ever wondered what would be playing in Superman's headphones, or what Lex Luthor is jamming to while trying to conquer the world, now you can find out.
Together, they have curated a playlist with song selections inspired by the various characters.

At the start of each character's section in the playlist, fans can listen to an exclusive voice note where Gunn explains the reasoning behind the collection of songs that he hand-picked for the character.
I probably had more fun doing this than anything else I’ve done in the past couple of years. I had to really think about who they were as people and imagine what kind of music they’d be into.
Another fun feature for Spotify users is that the cover image for the Superman Official Playlist will adapt to match listener's music taste revealing which character they align with.

Here is a look at what to expect for some of the characters:
Clark Kent (aka Superman)
As expected, these songs are edgy feel-good anthems from Journey and Jimmy Eat World, with songs that "keep Superman flying high".
Eve
This collection of songs channels Metropolis It-girl energy with songs from pop princesses like Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift.
Lex Luthor
A mix of absolute anthems (David Bowie and Sparks) must fuel the villain's ego.
Metamorpho
Metamorpho is soundtracked with a collection of moody, synthy songs with a melancholy edge from The Blow Monkeys and Nightmare of You.
Hawk Girl
This collection is a mix of indie cool and bold attitude, featuring the likes of Hinds, The Coup, and Janelle Monáe.
The Engineer
These songs can be best described as dark and serious, with pulsing beats provided by Nine Inch Nails and Burial.
