Kaitlin Rawson: From learning to walk again to pro pole dancer
Updated | By The Drive with Rob & Roz
Kaitlin Rawson is a competitive pole dancer who has reached major heights after a massive injury.

Kaitlin Rawson is a 25-year-old competitive pole dancer.
She started pole dancing in 2014, but in 2016 fell in a class and shattered her C5 vertebrae, leaving her with significant spinal cord damage.
She had to spend months in the hospital learning how to walk again, but now she's back doing what she loves - pole sports.
She competed in the ParaPole division for those with reduced muscle power.
Rawson has been competing at an international level since 2019.
In 2019, she attended the World Championships in Canada and came in second place.
In 2021, she competed in the Virtual World Championships, placing first. This year, she competed in Switzerland, won gold, and broke the world record for her category.
Rawson is now also the highest-scoring ParaPole athlete in the IPSF’s history across all the different para categories.
