Kanye West has been on what some have called "a downward spiral".

While there have been mentions of possible mental health issues, since his divorce from reality TV star Kim Kardashian, his behaviour and comments on social media have been very problematic.

He lost his collaboration with Adidas and many other major brands.

Amid all of this, the rapper changed his name to Ye in 2018.

At the time, the star explained why he chose this new moniker in an interview:

Now he's raised more eyebrows with another reported name change.

Reports of the name change started circulating when West's chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, referred to the rapper as Ye Ye in multiple filings sent to the California Secretary of State.

E! News obtained the documents concerning West's businesses and found that Ye Ye was listed as the "manager or member" of Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label, and Ox Paha Inc.

His representatives have cleared up any confusion in a statement to US Weekly.

“There is no ‘Ye Ye, an oddity created by an online form that required something in both first name and last name fields.”
