Space might be the final frontier (for now), but it is also one of the most fascinating.

There are many impressive and extremely technologically advanced telescopes set up throughout the world.
These telescopes play different roles and serve various purposes.

The James Webb Space Telescope (sometimes called JWST or Webb) is a large infrared telescope with a 6.5-meter primary mirror that NASA launched to be the main observatory where astronomers from all over the world can study the deeper intricacies of space.
The Vera C Rubin Observatory houses the Rubin Auxiliary Telescope and is located in Cerro Pachón in Chile.

According to BBC News, this new telescope has the most powerful digital camera.
The Vera C Rubin can peer into the deepest, darkest depths of the universe and show us things we have never seen before.

Scientists even say that if a ninth planet exists in our solar system, this telescope will be able to detect it in its first year.
They have already shown the incredible abilities of this telescope by releasing the first pictures it has captured.

One picture shows the colourful gas and dust clouds swirling 9,000 light years from Earth.

It is also set to detect killer asteroids within striking distance of Earth and map the Milky Way.
During a press conference, the observatory revealed that within 10 hours the telescope had already detected 2,104 new asteroids and seven space objects that are close to Earth.
