While they might not agree on that topic, there seems to be more of a consensus on which roads are the most annoying and stressful to travel on.

From multi-lane traffic circles to twisty interchanges, some junctions seem like they were built only to test your driving skills.

But which city is home to the most confusing, fear-inducing interchanges?

A UK survey asked motorists this exact question, and the results are wild.

The motorists had to provide a score out of 100 for the interchanges and intersections; the higher the score, the more stressful.

As a result, even a South African intersection made the list!

Here are the top three most stressful interchanges:

3. Arc de Triomphe Roundabout, Paris, France

This might be one of the most iconic names on the list. While it is a popular photo op spot, pedestrians are advised to take the underpass to the monument at its centre, instead of running over the 12 converging avenues.

2. Judge Harry Pregerson Interchange, Los Angeles, California

This interchange is a multilayer highway knot that allows full access from every approach. It's not just its complexity, but its incredible size that is daunting.

1. Meskel Square Roundabout in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

This junction scored 56 out of 100, and it seems for good reason. It has no road markings or traffic lights, and locals seem to navigate through it using only horns, eye contact and an unspoken understanding.

Clearly not ideal for any tourists used to strict traffic lane laws, trying to brave its streets.
