Are you ready for it?

Just when you thought American politics and pop culture couldn’t get any weirder… Donald Trump joins the chat.

Sydney Sweeney’s controversial American Eagle campaign was meant to be a playful nod to genetics and denim — but it spiralled into a social media debate no one saw coming.

The ad, which features the 'Euphoria' star talking about traits like blue eyes and blonde hair before declaring, "my jeans are blue," was labelled "tone-deaf" and accused of playing into racial stereotypes.

Donald Trump took to his social media app, Truth Social, to shower Sydney Sweeney with praise — and, of course, take a jab at Taylor Swift while he was at it.

This is not a joke - truth!

Trump even suggested Sweeney’s ad was helping American Eagle’s stock soar, calling it a “major win for patriotic brands that don’t bend to woke mobs.”

So, what turned the tide red for Donald?

Finding out that Sweeney is a registered Republican.

According to Page Six, public records show she’s been listed as a Republican voter in Florida since June 2024.

This little nugget was all some corners of the internet needed to claim her as "one of theirs" — turning the fashion ad into political ammo for the administration - classic American politics.

One conservative commentator tweeted: "This is why the left is trying to cancel her — they found out she votes red."

We can't say that the Twitter / X community shared the same sentiment.

Taylor Swift has yet to respond to Trump's jab — which, to be honest, she probably won’t. Swift has taken a more political stance in recent years, notably endorsing Joe Biden in 2020.

Her fanbase, known for rallying hard, is already countering Trump’s claims by sharing her record-breaking tour stats, Forbes covers, and Grammy wins; saying "she's literally the most successful artist in the world right now."

As all the chatter continues, Sydney Sweeney has been singing a different song. The actress was spotted singing karaoke with friends at a Santa Monica bar this weekend — seemingly unfazed by the internet firestorm.

She hasn't commented on the ad, Trump, or the political noise.
