We love to see South Africans winning in every category.

Who knew you didn't have to fly to Italy to get delicious, authentic Neapolitan pizza?

You just need to head down to Noordhoek in Cape Town.

Luca and Cecilia Castiglione founded Limoncello Ristorante, a restaurant specialising in authentic Southern Italian cuisine.

It's situated at the bottom of Chapman's Peak and offers beautiful views, paired with fantastic food.

While they have been known for creating some of the best pizza, they now have the official certification to prove it!

The Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani, founded in Naples in 1998, is the global authority on Neapolitan pizza. Its goal is to protect the profession of the pizza maker and pass down the art to young people.

They hope to protect and promote the ancient Art of the Neapolitan Pizzaiuolo, including the gestures, procedures, and ingredients connected to Neapolitan tradition and culture.

Renowned Chef Diego Palladino travelled to Noordhoek to present the restaurant with the prestigious certification, signifying how Limoncello crafts pizza as revered as that found in Naples.

The certification requirements are rigorous, and not everyone can pass the test.

Limoncello Ristorante has again shown that South Africa belongs on the culinary world stage.
