Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and in 2012, fans had to say goodbye to Gabrielle Solis (played by Eva Longoria), Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) and Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross).

Over eight seasons, these not-so-ordinary housewives entertained viewers with their scandals and secrets.

Since then, there has not been much talk about a reboot, a spin-off series or even a reunion.

In a 2023 interview, Longoria shared that she was interested in a renewal.

However, she has now confirmed to fans of the show that the 'Desperate Housewives' era is in the past.

While appearing on an episode of 'Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen', Longoria said that Marc Cherry, the show creator, is the only roadblock that stands in the way of a reboot.

She also mentioned another truthful and hilarious reason why she and Nicole Sheridan, who played Edie Britt, cannot return to Wisteria Lane.
