WATCH: Failed live TV backflip shocks viewers
"You have my full permission to laugh. I can't stop laughing at it either."
Savannah Bananas player, Robert Anthony Cruz, known for his acrobatic stunts, took a fall during a backflip on live CNN on July 24.

He laughed it off on Instagram, saying, "You have my full permission to laugh. I can't stop laughing at it either."
Cruz later explained that though he's done thousands of flips - even catching balls mid-air on live TV - this one went wrong due to studio lights and a slick floor.

"I lost track of the ground and under-rotated," he said, adding that he slipped and needed stitches in his lip and chin.
"Luckily, a doctor was there. Aside from a bruised ego, I'm okay," Cruz shared, noting he was dazed and bleeding after the fall.
