Halloween and horror movies have come a long way from the fake birds and costumey monsters of the past.

The genre has grown dramatically, keeps pushing boundaries and some of the best releases in the past decade have been horror movies.
Now there is another movie trailer that has captured the attention of fans and critics alike.
The reason it has caused a stir is because of its unique take.

The concept: the film is told from a dog's point of view.
According to IMDb, "A loyal dog moves to a rural family home with his owner Todd, only to discover supernatural forces lurking in the shadows. As dark entities threaten his human companion, the brave pup must fight to protect the one he loves most."

Although it might not sound scary, following along with the cute pup, the trailer very clearly showcases that this is far from 'Marley & Me'.
Director Ben Leonberg ('The Fisherman's Wife') and Alex Cannon ('Lost Causes') co-wrote the film, and the star of the production is played by Leonberg's pet, Indy the dog.
Shane Jensen ('Four') plays the role of the human lead, 'Todd'.

The trailer starts by showing shots of Indy as a puppy alongside Leonberg before transitioning to a more chilling scene.
Do you ever wonder why your dog stares at empty corners, barks for no reason, or refuses to go into the basement? Good Boy is the story of a dog who sees everything that goes bump in the night.
Indy also won the first-ever "Howl of Fame" award at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival in March.
