In October this year, Tshepo Mametje received a call while at work from his wife Sophie - she was in a state of panic.

Their 18-month-old son, Perseverance, was in Tembisa hospital. He was badly burned with hot porridge while at the neighbour’s house. Perseverance had burns on both his little legs and hands. He was screaming with pain. Perseverance came home after five weeks in hospital and Tshepo, a gardener at a housing complex, was worried that he would not be able to afford proper care.

Roman’s Pizza gave the family R35,000 to assist with Perseverance’s medical care and the family’s other daily needs.

Then we received an amazing offer of assistance.
