Harrowing moment woman falls 30 metres from amusement ride

A woman in her 20's is in a critical condition after falling several metres from a ride at an amusement park in Australia.

A video has been shared on social media showing the moment the woman fell and people scrambled to get help.

The woman was at the top of the ride called, "The Hangover", when she fell. Paramedics attending the scene said the woman was unconscious when she was taken to hospital and that it was a complicated process taking her out of the 'components of the ride's machinery'.

Witnesses thought the woman had died from the fall but paramedics managed to stabilise her and fly her to hospital. 

The aftermath of the incident was also filmed and shared online.
