Restaurant slammed over disgusting Valentine’s Day sign

A restaurant in New Zealand has come under fire for putting up a Valentine’s Day sign that allegedly promoted domestic violence.

A French restaurant in Auckland put up a sign on Valentine's Day with a questionable message.
The Eiffel en Eden restaurant chose to commemorate Valentine's Day by placing a chalkboard sign outside their front door. Written in blue and pink chalk, the message read:
"On Valentine’s Day open the car door for her, after Valentine’s Day open the car boot for her."
A passerby took a photo of the sign and posted it to social media, slamming the restaurant for promoting violence against women.

Other social media users joined the conversation and called the sign "tone deaf" while others said it perpetuates rape culture.
