A video showing a cat stopping a young child from climbing over a balcony has been doing the rounds on social media.

In the video, you see a small child standing on a balcony while a pet cat watches over him.
When the child starts to climb the railings, the cat swats at his hand, but the child was undeterred.

When the child tried again, the cat puts its entire body in the way and stares the child down and preventing a disaster.
