WATCH: Drag racing - a view from inside the car
A video taken from inside the infamous drag racing incident in Cape Town has emerged.
The driver of the BMW lost control of his vehicle and crashed on the N1 in Century City in an apparent "street race".
In the new video recorded by the passenger, the car seems to be speeding before changing lanes and crashing into a barrier.
The passenger can be heard encouraging the driver to do it "again and again" before realising that they're about to crash.

The City of Cape Town has since lashed out following the incident that took place close to the Sable Road off-ramp. This illegal street racing caused a debate around the culture of street racing within the Western Cape.
