Residents of Haikou in the Hainan province of China were blessed to see the rare sighting of a rainbow cloud.

The sight was captured on video, and you see a huge cloud surrounded by a wall of rainbow colours.
The cloud is called a “pileus” cloud, or more commonly a scarf cloud, and it is quite rare.

The rainbow cloud occurs when sunlight diffracts between water droplets and ice crystals in a cloud.
