Mashaba said the party will do what other opposition parties have failed to do and unseat the ANC.
"The opposition has failed in South Africa because they lack broad appeal and they have not offered a viable prospect of unseating the ANC," Mashaba said in August.

Khoza on the ANC
"When I left the ANC, I said I'm leaving the corrupt ANC. Look at what is happening during COVID-19.
"One thing that I have learned, politics cause the problems we have in South Africa. They (ANC) are heartless.
"I used to think 85% of the ANC leaders are corrupt but now I have to adjust it to 95%.
"95% of the ANC leaders are corrupt!"
Khoza on Action SA
"I am part of Action SA and I feel confident. I hope that South Africans give Herman Mashaba. That man can give a lot."
