Derby ends in disaster as man is trapped under barricade
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
A demolition derby in Utah ended in disaster as a man was trapped under a barricade that had been broken by one of the vehicles.

A county fair is not complete without a good demolition derby. It is as exciting and dangerous as it sounds: while spectators watch, five or more drivers compete to win by repeatedly ramming into each other's vehicles. The driver whose car has suffered the least damage at the end of the round wins.
The spectators at the recent Wasatch County Fair in Heber, Utah had to put judging on hold when, in a dramatic moment, a man who had been working on the demolition derby became a casualty.
One of the drivers knocks down a barricade and the worker gets trapped underneath it. As soon as the spectators realise what has happened, they run to the car to help.

The man's legs were hurt by the falling structure but, thankfully, the injuries were not so severe that he could no longer walk.
This is not the first time that a person has been injured during a demolition derby and, given the popularity of all kinds of motorsports, it won't be the last.
