Rian finds the lighter side of the fuel price hike

Fuel and paraffin prices will increase substantially at midnight on 5 June.

The Department of Energy's Robert Maake announced last week that the price of petrol will rise by 82 cents per litre, that of diesel by between 85 and 87 cents, and that of illuminating paraffin by R1 and 9 cents.

Since the news broke news outlets have been reporting on the impact the increases will have on everyday life. The price of a shopping cart of groceries, for example, will be affected.
But Rian has found that there are some journalists whose approach to illustrating the impact of the increase is... questionable. He spoke about some of these stories and wondered how newsrooms were allowing these kinds of headlines to go to print.
