'They Shall Not Grow Old' - Peter Jackson brings WWI to life
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Peter Jackson's reimagining of World War I has been called "an utterly breathtaking journey into the trenches".

Peter Jackson's They Will Not Grow Old is a tribute to the soldiers who fought in World War I. Using modern colour restoration technology and incorporating voiceovers that don't undermine the integrity of the original dialogue, Jackson creates an arresting documentary.
The film takes viewers into the war, showing the heart of the men who put their lives on the line. As The Guardian writes: "The details are harrowing, as is the political incorrectness of what the soldiers recall: some express their candid enjoyment of the war, others their utter desensitisation to what they experienced."
