Princess Diana is still inspiring the fashion world even after her tragic death - but there was a reason behind why she never wore heels higher than 5cm.

In the book, 'The Lady Di Look Book' by author Eloise Moran, she explained why the Princess of Wales, Princess Diana, never wore high heels higher than 5cm.

Moran claimed that Princess Diana did it out of respect for Prince Charles while they were still married.
"Diana wore shoes no higher than two inches out of respect to her husband's ego."

The world-famous princess and her husband were the same height (1.78cm).
