Would you fall for this fresh produce trick?

Kevin Biegel shared the quirky game that he likes to play with people who shop at the same grocery store he does, and so many Twitter users who enjoy dark humour can relate.

Grocery shopping is not very interesting. You can draw a list and pick fun recipes to try out, but you will have to admit: buying food is the least appealing part of your diet.
But now, thanks to a new pastime, you can try while you stock up on fruit and vegetables, you can use the time spent at your local grocer to stretch your comedy writing muscles.

Scratching haunting things into bananas at the market so when people take them home hours later and the words appear they think a ghost knows their secrets. pic.twitter.com/aDOMd3K8cX
Kevin Biegel innocently shared a personal quirk of his - writing sinister messages into the flesh of fresh bananas at a grocery store - on Twitter. He did not expect to find so many people who shared his twisted sense of humour.
Before long, people were commenting on how clever the trick was and making suggestions for messages to carve into bananas. It appears people have been waiting patiently for a way to make browning banana skin more compelling.
I am absolutely going to start doing this. I need ideas of short things to write....

I love this! Except I want to scratch things like "You are beautiful" and "You can do it!"

This is the kind of thing that can create hours of fun - but only if you're willing to be the one weird person standing in the fruit aisle scratching words into bananas.
