Boy almost loses his hand in an escalator

A little boy whose hand got stuck in a moving escalator has been saved from permanent damage after a worker stopped the escalator in the nick of time.

According to mirror.co.uk, the accident took place in a shopping mall in Jilin, China.

The video shows the little boy on the escalator with an adult, who allowed him to sit down. As they make their way down the escalator, his right hand appears to get trapped in the side panel after accidentally inserting his fingers into the edge of the escalator.

Fortunately, a woman who was behind them is seen rushing in time to hit the emergency stop button. Emergency workers are then seen attending to the little one's injuries.

Mirorr.co.uk reported that the boy did not sustain any permanent damage.
