Man uses elderly woman as human shield in land dispute
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
A desperate man in the village of Mungla in western India resorted to laying his mother in front of a tractor at the height of a dispute over land.

The Dalvi and Raut families have reached an impasse in their dispute over land in the village of Mungla, western India.
Following a ruling by the judge at the Tehsil Court that stated the Raut family was allowed to farm on the tract of land, the son from the opposing Dalvi family took drastic measures to stop the driver of the Raut tractor from proceeding with work.
In a desperate moment, the man grabs a frail elderly woman, who is reportedly his mother, and throws her in front of the tractor. The woman can be heard crying as bystanders continue to argue with the driver of the tractor.
It is not clear who filmed the alarming incident, but police have opened an investigation into the actions of 15 family members from both sides.
