Farm attacks have have been a prominent focus in South Africa over the last few weeks. Is there a way we can increase our safety?

Farm attacks have been at the center of conversation among South Africans for some time now. Thousands of farmers have been brutally attacked and murdered and now this has become a huge concern for not only farmers, but the country as well.
After hearing about the story of Robert Lynn and his wife who were victims of a farm attack, we decided to address the issue. The couple were asleep in bed on their farm in South Africa when three men broke in through a window at 2am and tied the terrified Brits up. Robert's wife was brutally murdered, after the two of them were tied up and tortured with a blowtorch. Robert was shot in the neck, but managed to survive. Robert shares his story with us now on air.
General Chris van Zyl of the Transvaal Agricultural Union joined us this morning to discuss what can be done and shared a few tips on how to increase the safety on farms.
Bheki Cele, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, spoke on the farm attacks and shared his views on the issue.
