Ed Sheeran gives 'No Scrubs' writers credit on 'Shape Of You'

Ed Sheeran's 'Shape Of You' sounds almost identical to TLC's 'No Scrubs'.

Ed Sheeran's team has added the songwriters who were responsible for TLC's smash hit 'No Scrubs' to 'Shape of You' writing credits after people started noticing similarities between the two songs.
Kandi Burruss, Tameka Cottle and producer Kevin Briggs have been added to the American copyright website ASCAP's listing of the song where previously only Ed Sheeran and co-writers Steve Mac and Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid were the only names featured.

It seems it is not the first time that Ed Sheeran has been in hot water over his music sounding similar to other people's.
He's currently being sued by the family of a man who co-wrote Marvin Gaye's 'Let's Get It On'. Ed Townsend's family claim that Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' copied key parts.
He was previously sued for almost R 250 mil by Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard over his single, 'Photograph' just last year after claiming that the structure was very similar to that of their song, 'Amazing'.
