Johannesburg content creator and influencer, Keith, known as Yung Earn on social media, always takes on the most outrageous stunts online.

With over 74,000 Instagram followers and 450,000 TikTok followers, he has earned popularity through his unique approach to South African content. Besides his good following, he also collaborates with other South African content creators.

A video from early May caught our attention when he joined forces with Durban content creator, Zubenathi, also known as kxng_zubz.rsa. Zubenathi took Yung Earn to Wentworth in Durban, to try a traditional inyama yenhloko in the gully's.

The two along with another friend, travelled through the township, spoke to some locals who recognised them from social media.

They finally ended up at a restaurant where they were ready to try the traditional Zulu dish called inyama yenhloko.

"Inyama yenhloko is a traditional dish associated with the Zulu culture. The term translates to "meat from the head" in Zulu. It refers to the preparation of the head of an animal, typically a cow, sheep, or goat, where various parts of the head are cooked and eaten, including the cheeks, tongue, and sometimes the brain," according to Taste Atlas.

Delicacies such as inyama yenhloko are a true delight in many communities that savour all parts of animal meat. KwaZulu-Natal is popular for offal, which is not always highlighted but a prized meal.

Yung Earn, who has eaten it before, described it as fatty and tender.
