The star-studded Grammys kicked off with a strong feminist message on Sunday. The awards ceremony featured a series of girl power performances and a surprise appearance from former first lady Michelle Obama, alongside Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
But Obama's mother didn't hold back about her appearance, sending her daughter a rather honest text message.
Robinson wrote: “I guess you were a hit at the Grammys.” Her daughter asked mom if she had watched. Her mother responded and said that she saw it and then asked if Obama had met “any of the real stars."
Obama ended the text conversation by writing “And I AM A real star...by the way...”
Her mother's reply? “Yeah.”
