What type of person are you? Do you care about what people say or not so much?

When visiting coastal towns such as Cape Town and Durban, Joburgers are generally filled with excitement at the promise of visiting the beach.

However, recently, some beaches have become no-go zones due to the levels of E. coli in the water. This has always been a factor because of stormwater runoff, sewer leaks, and animal waste, but now more people are getting ill. As a result, there have been many beach closures, predominantly in KwaZulu-Natal.

Michelle Sky Hayward, a mother, professional kite surfer, social media influencer, businesswoman and GoPro ambassador, posted a video of herself enjoying a swim at a Cape Town beach.

Hayward often posts videos of herself taking a dip in the ocean with her GoPro. This time, the spot she chose was filled with foamy bubbles.

At one point in her video, she loses balance and ingests some water. This got many people sharing their views, saying things like, "That foam is turds!".

One person commented: "The foam is giving the opposite of FOMO!". While another added: "I don't think you know what the foam is!", and "Can someone tell her that's k*k water, sewage water?"

Not everyone agreed, though, others said it was just seafoam.

"Nope, it's natural oceanic foam, not from a sewer."

"Ocean also can form a Foam naturally too..."

"It really depends. It could be just regular seafoam. You would know if it’s foam from sewage overflow/runoff."

It wasn't just social media users who believed she was swimming in E.coli-infested water; even her husband thought so.
