Pictures: Emma Stone looks daunting in Disney's live-action 'Cruella'
Here’s your first look at Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil in Disney's 'Cruella'.
The film also stars Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser, and Joel Fry.

Emma Stone's take on the iconic Cruella de Vil character is more punk rock than that of Glen Close, who played the role in the 1996 live-action remake, '101 Dalmations'.
Stone appeared via video message to debut the first look of the character at D23 on Saturday. According to Variety, the actress also revealed that it will take place in the punk rock era of the 1970s. Disney Studies also shared a photo with Stone donning Cruella’s famous two-toned black and white hairstyle.

The movie, which is due to release in 2021, will tell the story of Cruella before she was terrorising the puppies of London. The character was originally voiced by Betty Lou Gerson in the animated film
