Put your hand up if you've used a fan to dry laundry
Updated | By Jacaranda FM/Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
Don't be shy. We've all tried one thing or another to dry our laundry on a rainy day.

Although rainy weather doesn't generally dampen plans, it can sometimes cause a buildup of laundry.
Which is never a good thing. Besides being left without clean clothes or bedding, there's the inconvenience of finding ways to dry your clothes without a dryer. Many South Africans rely on their washing lines for their clothes to dry. So, when the rain comes, things can get tricky.
We found a video of a person who took an innovative approach to drying their clothes. It might not be the safest option, but it did the job.

While this person found a creative way to dry clothes, using the ceiling fan might not be the safest option.
A safer option might be to invest in a drying rack and turn on the fan or heater. That's if you need your clothes dried quickly. However, it is vital to follow safety precautions when using a heater.
Also, note that a fan heater might work better than a bar heater. Check out this piece on electricity savers to use this winter.
