Toddler bites snake and ends up killing it
This bizarre and shocking story has left the internet in disbelief...
A report about a two-year-old boy from India biting and consequently killing a snake in his backyard has left people shocked.
Govinda Kumar was playing in his backyard when he encountered a cobra. Family members watching over him said that Kumar had taken a brick and thrown it at the snake.
The snake, feeling threatened, lunged at the little boy's arm and coiled around it.
"When we saw the snake in the child’s hand, everyone rushed towards him, but in the meantime, he already bit the snake, killing it,” Kumar's grandmother told Malay Mail.
The child lost consciousness soon after, and his family rushed him to a nearby health clinic. He was later transferred to Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in Bettiah.
According to the Malay Mail: "Doctors confirmed the snake died from injuries to its head and mouth, believed to be caused by the boy’s bite."
Dr Surab Kumar, who is treating Kumar, said the venom did affect the child, but “not fatally”, and that "timely treatment saved (his) life.”
While this might seem uncommon, in 2022, a similar incident was reported when an eight-year-old boy from India also bit a snake after he was attacked.
In this story, the cobra bit the boy, which led to the boy biting the reptile in return.
