Traffic cop's hand signals leaves the internet confused

Whatever the gesture, be sure to keep safe out there this weekend...

In South Africa, it is normal to see entertaining traffic officers or honorary traffic controlmen at the traffic lights.
It adds to the flair of our nation and is to be expected.
For instance, many motorists have shared their delightful experience watching a special traffic officer in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth). This traffic officer has gained support online for his stellar dance moves while directing traffic on the streets of Gqeberha.
A video on social media that has entertained us differently shows a traffic officer from Kenya. In the video, the officer is effortlessly moving his hand in circles like one would do in a dance move, but over their heads...
Although the gesture may be unfamiliar to us, it seems to be working just as well on Kenyan roads.
Watch the video below from Instagram.
Many people were amused and shared their comments.
- "It looks like that thing kids used to do singing “I muuust tell on you”."
- "He sassy."
- "It's giving oya shake body!"
- "New roads signal and sign."
