Unhinged or inappropriate? Lady sings for senior citizens

We're not sure she would get a standing ovation or that anyone enjoyed her performance thoroughly...

Releasing your new music in front of an audience can be nerve-wracking. So, what's the best way to practice your performance without risking it all?

A funny video shared on social media shows how a woman decided to sing her song to a group of senior citizens at a nursing home.

Her performance was slightly questionable as she tried to get the crowd going and got two grandpas on wheelchairs jiving to the beat. Most of the senior citizens didn't seem engaged or impressed, but there were one or two bobbing their heads, enjoying the song.

The song sounded like the 'Finance guy' song, except it focused on an older demographic. Perhaps that was the point; we are uncertain, but it was entertaining to say the least.

Live music is said to have a host of benefits for people, especially senior citizens.

According to the Senior Helpers website, "One of the most well-known benefits of music is its ability to improve cognitive function. Research has shown that engaging with music, whether listening or participating, can enhance memory and cognitive skills in seniors. Enjoying live music can stimulate the brain and help keep the mind sharp, making it a great activity for older adults."

Over and above that, listening to music is also known to reduce stress and anxiety. So, maybe this woman's performance wasn't just helpful to her but also to the seniors she performed for.
